Adding Documents
Learn the different ways to get your documents into DocuFeed.
In-App Upload
The most common way to add documents. Works on both iOS and Android.

Open a category
Tap on the category where you want to add your document.

Tap the upload button
Look for the upload icon (arrow pointing up) in the category view.

Select your PDF
Browse your device and select the PDF you want to add.

Wait for processing
DocuFeed will scan and index your document. This usually takes a few seconds.
Share from SafariiOS only
Found a PDF while browsing? Add it to DocuFeed without leaving Safari.

Open a PDF in Safari
Navigate to any PDF file in Safari. The PDF should be displayed in the browser.

Tap the Share button
Look for the share icon (square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of Safari.

Select "Add to DocuFeed"
Scroll through the share options and tap "Add to DocuFeed". You may need to scroll down or tap "More" to find it.

Open DocuFeed
A confirmation will appear. Open the DocuFeed app to choose a category and complete the upload.
Don't see "Add to DocuFeed"? You may need to enable it. Scroll to the end of the share sheet and tap "Edit Actions", then toggle on DocuFeed.
Share from Files AppiOS only
Have PDFs saved in your Files app or iCloud Drive? Share them directly to DocuFeed.

Open the Files app
Navigate to the PDF you want to add.

Long-press the file
A menu will appear with options.

Tap Share, then "Add to DocuFeed"
Select the share option and choose DocuFeed from the list.
Supported Formats
DocuFeed supports a wide variety of document and image formats. All files are automatically converted to PDF for consistent in-app viewing.

Text extraction: DocuFeed automatically extracts text from images so you can search and chat about them.

Tips for Success
- →Organize before uploading — create categories first, then add documents to keep things tidy
- →Wait for processing — documents need a few seconds to be converted and indexed before you can chat about them
- →Check document quality — if AI answers seem off, the source file may have poor text extraction
- →Use native formats — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files often provide better text extraction than scanned PDFs
