Getting Started with DocuFeed
Welcome! Let's get you set up to chat with your documents in just a few minutes.
1Create your first category
Categories are like folders for your documents. You might create categories for different areas of your life:
- •Health — medical records, insurance documents, prescriptions
- •Car — registration, maintenance records, manuals
- •Work — benefits documents, HR paperwork, policies
- •Home — appliance manuals, warranties, contracts
Tap the + button on the home screen to create a new category.
2Upload a document
Once you have a category, tap into it and use the upload button to add documents. DocuFeed supports PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text files, and images.
In-app upload
Tap the upload button in any category to select documents from your device.
Share from Files app (iOS)
Long-press any document in the Files app, tap Share, then select "Add to DocuFeed".
Share from Safari (iOS)
When viewing a PDF in Safari, tap the share button and select "Add to DocuFeed" to import it directly.
All files are automatically converted to PDF for consistent viewing. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files often provide excellent text extraction for AI chat.
Tip: Start with a document you frequently reference, like an employee handbook, insurance policy, or product manual.
3Ask a question
This is where the magic happens! Tap the chat button in your category and ask any question about your documents.
Try questions like:
- "What's my deductible for prescription drugs?
- "How do I change the oil filter on my car?
- "What's the company policy on remote work?
The AI searches through your documents and provides answers with citations, so you can verify the source.
Understanding your dashboard
Category Grid
Your categories appear as cards. Tap to open, long-press to customize.
Search Bar
Search across all your documents at once. Great for finding specific information quickly.
Profile & Settings
Access your subscription, privacy settings, light/dark mode toggle, and account preferences.
